What events does the Meliá Castilla suit?

The auditorium, measuring 21 x 30.5 m, is the natural room for the plenary. Tapices, Cervantes and Patio work for lunch, a commercial exhibition or dinner. According to the Madrid Convention Bureau, the hotel has 235 parking spaces.
Getting there
The address is Calle Poeta Joan Maragall 43, a few steps from the Castellana. The nearest metro stations are Cuzco (line 10) and Plaza de Castilla (lines 1, 9 and 10). Chamartín station, with high-speed trains, is 1.4 km away, and the airport about 14 km. The Santiago Bernabéu stadium is 1 km away.
Production tips
- Close the room block and meeting rooms together. With so many bedrooms, negotiating accommodation, meeting rooms and catering as a package delivers the best results.
- Plenary in the auditorium, dinner in Tapices. Keeping the two spaces separate avoids turnarounds and allows unhurried rehearsals.
- Check ceiling heights. Several rooms have ceilings of about 3 m: if your staging is tall, the auditorium or the larger ballrooms are the option.
- Manage lift peaks. In a hotel this size, stagger the times at which people leave their rooms for the plenary.
