[re] Conventions Experience is MC Group's own format for company conventions and congresses, and at ECM we produce it in Madrid. Fully tailor-made and turnkey, it brings teams, clients or the whole workforce together in venues with character, combines content with post-congress dinners and activities, and designs networking so that connections actually happen.

Plenaries, dinners, activities and networking: the moments that build an experiential convention.

Each convention combines these modules in the proportions your objective calls for. The same team produces them all.

Venues chosen to reinforce the message: palaces, converted industrial buildings, historic factories, rooftop terraces or the company's own premises.

Themed dinners and activities outside session hours that turn a group of attendees into a team.

AV, set design, catering, accommodation, transfers and staff through a single point of contact and a single budget.

Interactive formats, room layouts and informal moments designed so the right people meet.

We do not work with fixed packages. We start from the objective, the audience and the budget, and build the programme from scratch.

From one intense day in Madrid to multi-day programmes with a trip to Toledo, Segovia or the mountains.
There is a convention model almost everyone knows: a hotel ballroom, one presentation after another, a buffet at lunchtime and dinner in the same building. The content may be excellent, but attendees go home with little more than the slides and the feeling of having spent two days in the same room.
[re] Conventions Experience was created at MC Group to change that pattern. The starting idea is simple: if you bring your team, your clients or your sales network together, the time they spend together should reinforce the message, not just deliver it. That is why we design the whole convention as an experience, from the venue to the final transfer, and produce it turnkey. You will find the presentation of the format on the Marca Condal website, a group company.
Madrid has something the format needs: a variety of settings within a short distance. A single convention can include a plenary in a cultural centre housed in a former slaughterhouse, a dinner in a 19th-century hall on the Calle de Alcalá, a working morning at a royal tapestry factory and a trip to Toledo or Segovia by high-speed train. And the city is well connected: Madrid-Barajas airport handled 68.2 million passengers in 2025, according to Aena, which makes it easier to bring teams together from several countries.
The venue is part of the message. An innovation convention in an industrial hall, an anniversary in a palace or a sales kick-off at a rural hotel in the mountains say different things before anyone steps on stage. In Madrid we propose venues such as Matadero Madrid, the Real Fábrica de Tapices and the Círculo de Bellas Artes, and we check that, as well as looking good, they work technically.
What happens after the last session decides the mood of the next day. We propose themed dinners, food experiences, neighbourhood walks, sports activities or private visits that give the group something to share and talk about.
A single team takes care of everything: venue, AV, set design, catering, accommodation, transfers, staff and security. You deal with one point of contact and receive an itemised budget. It is the part nobody sees, and the part that makes everything else work.
Putting 200 people in the same room does not guarantee they will talk to each other. We design table formats, rotations, mixed-group activities and informal moments so that the people who should meet do meet: sales staff from different regions, clients with similar challenges or teams who work together without ever having met.
| Aspect | Standard convention | [re] Conventions Experience |
|---|---|---|
| Starting point | A room with enough capacity | The objective and what attendees should experience |
| Venue | Hotel ballroom | A location chosen for its connection to the message |
| Programme | Back-to-back presentations | Content alternating with experiences and purposeful breaks |
| After the sessions | Dinner in the same hotel | Post-congress dinners and activities designed for the group |
| Networking | Coffee breaks | Interactive formats designed to build connections |
| Production | Several suppliers coordinated by the client | Turnkey, through a single point of contact |
This is just an example for a sales team of 150 to 300 people. Every real programme is designed from scratch, based on the brief.
| Time | Day 1 | Day 2 |
|---|---|---|
| Morning | Registration at a cultural venue in the centre and opening plenary with the message for the year | Hands-on team workshops in breakout rooms |
| Midday | Standing lunch designed to mix regions and departments | Closing lunch with shared conclusions |
| Afternoon | Breakouts and a group activity in the historic neighbourhoods, linked to the theme | Departure or free time in the city |
| Evening | Themed dinner in a historic hall, with awards and entertainment |
What changes is not the number of things, but that every moment has a purpose and connects to the next. The afternoon activity sets up the conversation at dinner; dinner reinforces the message of the plenary; and the day two workshop turns that message into concrete commitments.
[re] Conventions draws on more than 20 years of experience in the MC Group team. Companies that have worked with the team include Meliá, Sanofi, Nestlé, Volkswagen, Adobe, Cisco, Lindt and Movistar. It is MC Group's own format for company conventions and congresses. It combines the working content with venues that have character, post-congress dinners and activities, turnkey production and designed networking. We produce it to measure for sales, client or HR teams.
At a standard convention the meeting room is the centre and everything else is added around it. With [re] Conventions we design the whole experience from the outset: where, at what pace, what happens between sessions and what attendees remember when they get home. The content is still the core, but it is not the only thing.
Yes. At ECM we produce [re] Conventions in and around Madrid with dedicated staff and event planners in the city, where the team has organised more than 100 corporate events. The city offers palaces, cultural centres in former industrial buildings, high-rise hotels and day trips less than an hour away, all of which suit the format very well.
For company groups of different sizes, from leadership committees to conventions of several hundred people. The number of attendees determines which venues are possible, so it is the first thing we look at in the brief.
As a tailor-made format it has no fixed price. We send you a proposal with an itemised estimate within 24 business hours. In the guide what a company convention in Madrid costs we explain which budget lines weigh most.
