It is a convention hotel in the historic centre, which is unusual in Madrid. Getting there
The address is Calle Gran Vía 84, opposite Plaza de España. Plaza de España metro station is at the door, and the Gran Vía connects on foot with Callao, Sol and the Barrio de las Letras. The airport is about 20 km away by road. There is a 100-space car park, which falls short for groups: plan for coaches with an authorised loading zone.
Production tips
- Manage arrivals right on the Gran Vía. Traffic in the area is heavy: agree the coach pick-up and drop-off point and timings with the hotel.
- Design the Sala Madrid by modules. You can use part of it for the plenary and another part for an exhibition or coffee, then join them for dinner.
- Book the outdoor spaces with a plan B. The terrace and the rooftop depend on the weather and on availability for private groups: confirm the conditions and an indoor alternative.
