What events does the Pabellón de Cristal suit?

Getting there
The address is Avenida de Portugal s/n, inside the Casa de Campo fairground. By metro, the nearest stations are Lago (line 10), Puerta del Ángel and Alto de Extremadura (line 6). Atocha station is about 3 km away and the airport about 14 km, according to the Madrid Convention Bureau. The fairground has parking.
Production tips
- Choose the floor by height, not just by square metres. The ground floor offers the largest area, but a 2.7 m ceiling. For a stage, large screens or rigging, the upper floor, at 7.4 m, gives far more scope.
- Ask for the evacuation plan from the outset. In an exhibition space, capacity depends on the set-up: stands, stage and catering areas reduce it.
- Design the route between floors. If you use more than one floor, signpost stairs, lifts and entrances so the exhibition is not left without visitors.
- Budget as you would for a trade show. Carpet, stands, electricity, air conditioning and cleaning are separate cost items in a venue of this type.
