Why choose the Lázaro Galdiano for an event?

In the early 20th century, José Lázaro Galdiano and Paula Florido built the Parque Florido complex: the palace, now the museum, the building of the La España Moderna publishing house and a garden. It sits in the heart of the Salamanca district and holds a collection with works by El Greco, Velázquez, Goya and Hieronymus Bosch. It is part of the Marca Condal venue selection in Madrid (Marca Condal is a company in our group).

It suits seminars and meetings that need an auditorium, book or product launches with a cultural angle, summer drinks receptions in the garden and smaller gala dinners.

Getting there

The museum is at Serrano, 122, and the Jardín de las Estaciones connects to Calle Claudio Coello. The nearest metro stations are Gregorio Marañón (lines 7 and 10) and Rubén Darío (line 5). Atocha and the airport are 20 to 30 minutes away by car, depending on traffic.

Production tips

A marquee as insurance. On the Explanada, decide early whether to put up a marquee: it changes capacities and set-up times.
Plan the catering. Inside the museum it can only be served in the Sala Pórtico. In the garden, use the connected catering office and loading access.
Listed building. Every proposal for décor, vehicles or music is assessed case by case. Bring your design with plans and allow time.
Noise. In the garden, plan the volume within municipal regulations.

How many people does the Museo Lázaro Galdiano hold?

According to the museum's website, the Explanada del Jardín takes 250 people for a reception, 150 for a banquet and 120 theatre-style; with a marquee, 200, 110 and 100. The auditorium has 209 seats: 149 on the ground floor and 60 in the upper tier.

Can catering be served inside the museum?

Inside the museum, only in the Sala Pórtico, which the museum lists as the only indoor space where catering can be served. The garden has a connected catering office and direct loading access.

Is there a room for high-level meetings?

Yes, the palace ballroom (Salón de Baile), 70 m²: up to 50 people theatre-style for meetings or concerts, or 30 boardroom-style.

Which rooms are in the La España Moderna building?

The Sala de Lectura, 72 m², on the first floor: 70 for a reception, 60 theatre-style and 50 for a banquet, with Wi-Fi and a portable PA system.
