Domo 360 Madrid: immersive projection dome

What is Domo 360?

It is a permanent immersive venue run by the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and NewMedia Creative Technology Studio, a studio specialising in 360 projection and immersive experiences. The structure is a geodesic dome with an interior projection liner, so the audience sits inside the image. It is part of the Marca Condal venue selection in Madrid (Marca Condal is a company in our group).

It suits product launches that want a strong visual moment, results presentations with animated data, team meetings with an experiential element and incentive activities.

Production tips

Content lead times. Bespoke fulldome content takes weeks to produce. Ask the dome for its briefing and delivery deadlines and put them in the schedule from day one.
Calibration. Allow time for tests and calibration before doors open.
Design content for a dome. Logos, graphics and video look different on a curved surface. Work on the script with the dome's team.
Use the gardens. The 3,000 m² of outdoor space works for the welcome or a drinks reception before and after the session.

What pairs well nearby

For accommodation, the hotels around Moncloa and Argüelles are close, and the Riu Plaza España is a few minutes away. For a larger theatre format, consider the Gran Teatro CaixaBank Príncipe Pío.

Frequently asked questions

How many people does Domo 360 hold?

There is no published capacity. The esMADRID listing gives the floor area, 365 m², and capacity depends on the layout (standing, rows of chairs or tables). We confirm it with the venue on every enquiry.

Do we need content made specifically for the dome?

To get the most out of it, yes. NewMedia, the studio that runs the dome with the UPM, produces immersive content and mapping. Otherwise you can project presentations or video in windows inside the dome.

What kind of events does it host?

According to esMADRID, corporate events, conferences, presentations, concerts, workshops, fashion and art. Prices and hours depend on each activity.
