What kind of event suits the Palacio de Santoña?

The Madrid Convention Bureau describes it as one of the six remaining palace houses in Madrid. It is a restored 18th-century building whose piano nobile salons combine historic décor with up-to-date technical equipment. That mix makes it useful for mid-sized events where the setting matters: board meetings, client gatherings, working lunches, briefings for a small press group or a private dinner for senior management.

It is not a venue for large plenaries. It is a venue where thirty, seventy or a hundred people can talk properly, eat well and leave with a polished impression of your company.

Getting there

The entrance is at Calle de las Huertas 13. The nearest metro is Antón Martín (line 1), with Sevilla (line 2) and Sol (lines 1, 2 and 3, plus Cercanías commuter rail) a few minutes away. For parking, the reference point is the Plaza de Santa Ana car park. Traffic on the street is restricted: plan for guests to arrive on foot from a nearby point or by taxi.

Production tips

Match the programme to the salons. A meeting in Goya y Velázquez, coffee in the courtyard and lunch in the Comedor de Gala is a natural route through the palace.
Confirm figures by layout. The venue sheet does not give every format for every salon. We check them on the technical site visit.
Keep AV discreet. In decorated salons, screens and support sound need to be well integrated. We request them against the floor plan of each room.

The Madrid Convention Bureau venue sheet gives a capacity of 370 people for the palace. Room by room, the Salón de Actos takes 108 theatre-style, the courtyard 125 for a reception and the Comedor de Gala 72 for a banquet or 100 for a reception.

Is it suitable for a company dinner?

Yes, for mid-sized groups. The Salón de Actos, Salón Oriental and Comedor de Gala each seat 72 diners. For larger groups we combine salons and suggest a standing reception format.

Does it have rooms for small meetings?

Yes. The Sala Velázquez (45 m²) takes 30 classroom-style and 42 theatre-style, and the Lope de Vega room (30 m²) 16 classroom-style. The Salón Turco and Salón Luis XV work for committees and small lunches.
