What kind of event suits Casa de América?
Casa de América is an institution devoted to relations with Latin America, based in the Palacio de Linares, a late 19th-century building on the corner of Plaza de Cibeles and Paseo de Recoletos. For a company it offers something rare in central Madrid: a present-day auditorium, fully equipped, inside a palace with period rooms.
It works well for meetings and seminars of 50 to 300 people, client days, press briefings and product launches that need a stage and, afterwards, a drinks reception somewhere with character. It also suits the content sessions of a mid-sized company convention with delegates staying in hotels along the Prado and Recoletos boulevards.

Getting there
The palace stands on Plaza de Cibeles. The nearest metro station is Banco de España (line 2), and the airport express bus stops at Cibeles. Atocha station, served by AVE high-speed trains, is about 20 minutes on foot or a few minutes by taxi. For coach groups, agree the drop-off point in advance: Cibeles is a busy junction with strict traffic enforcement.
Production tips
- Keep the plenary and networking apart. The auditorium is on the ground floor and the period rooms are upstairs. Plan the flow and signage so the group does not scatter through the palace.
- Double the Embajadores room. The venue's website notes that opening the adjoining rooms doubles capacity. Handy for a working lunch after a session.
- Ask for floor plans early. This is a listed building: rigging, load-in and décor all have limits you need to know before you design.
- Check the cultural calendar. Casa de América runs its own programme. Book well ahead if you are looking at autumn or spring dates.
