What kind of event suits the Railway Museum?
Delicias was one of Madrid's first major railway stations and is now the museum of the Fundación de los Ferrocarriles Españoles (Spanish Railways Foundation). The iron-and-glass train shed, with historic trains on the tracks, is an industrial setting that few central venues can match for floor space.
It is a solid option for gala dinners of 300 to 1,200 guests, company conventions with a plenary and exhibition, company parties, vehicle or machinery presentations and product launches that need room to build a set. It is part of the selection of venues in Madrid curated by Marca Condal, a company in our group.

Getting there
The museum is at Paseo de las Delicias 61. Delicias metro station (line 3) and Cercanías commuter trains at Delicias station are close by. Atocha, with AVE high-speed trains, is about 15 minutes on foot or five by taxi. Coach arrivals are easier here than in the historic centre.
Production tips
- Climate in the hall. An iron-and-glass train shed is cold in winter and hot in summer. Budget for temporary heating or cooling depending on the date.
- Acoustics. With so much volume, sound needs to be designed: a distributed system that keeps speeches free of heavy reverberation.
- Protect the collection. The locomotives are part of the museum. Catering routes, load-in and décor are agreed with the museum team.
- Divide the hall. For 400 or 500 people, close off part of the space with lighting and drapes: the whole hall looks empty for a mid-sized group.
What pairs well nearby
If the programme includes a day in the city centre, the Círculo de Bellas Artes or the COAM can cover the content sessions. For a gala in a different format, compare it with the Galería de Cristal at the Palacio de Cibeles.
